What's the Point?

I'll describe MapleStory really simple in one word: Grinding. I don't see the point anymore, you just grind and grind and grind some more to get more skills so you can grind more. Then, once you've grinded your eyes out to level 200, what then? You get a dragon mount, then get to start a new character to grind some more or go boss hunting, that's it. Thoughts? EDIT: This is NOT a rant. This is just something for you guys to think about. So don't argue. EDIT #2: Okay, guys, I'm not arguing anymore. The point of this thread was not saying "MAPLESTORY SUCKS, LET'S PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME! HERPDERP" If you enjoy this game, then go ahead and play it. This was just supposed to be something to think about.

What the hell is the point of any game? To have fun. Everybody who plays maplestory has fun. Mission accomplished, Nexon.

thats why nexon needs to stop focusing on more characters and balancing them and instead develop other things to do

Theres no point in any game, the point is to have fun, so I dont know why people that get pissed and start yelling when they cant do something in a game keep playing it.

You grind items? Into what, dust? Why are you so angry anyways? Did you get scammed/beaten? You can also explore new monsters and skills. You can talk with friends about the new material Nexon makes. You have new things to talk about because of Maple.

What are items for? Finishing quests, equipment, upgrading equipment. What do you do in quests? You grind, for the most part. What do you do with equipment? It helps you grind. And with the new content. Jobs: You grind to level up. Areas: You grind there. Party Quests: A glorified grind fest.

You dont have to grind, if everybody grinded like you're talking about everybody would be lvl 200.

I'm guessing you either got scammed, hacked or you're bored of the game. :/ For some of the people playing Maple, grinding and leveling is fun for them. There is no point to games other than having fun, after all.
