Do I have to get the level 50 mount before I can get the level 80 one? Cuz I didn't want one at level 50, but at 80 I'm going to want one...

Wow what? You have to get them in order? WHAT WHAT WHAT! above . I find it unbelievable that we need to buy the first sadle since our level 80 dragons cant use the level 50 sadle.
