So, I want to use C++ but what program am I supposed to download to make codes/compile them in? Like for Java I have blue J, tried searching on the internet but still didn't get linked up to anything, so any1 here that knows c++ please tell me what you use, and a download link if possible thanks

dev C++ is a free environment...its not very good, but its free. i believe Microsoft offers a "light" version of their compilers.

I tried dev c++, I didn't really get quite what it is. It's just 1 window that says 'install' and Im supposed to open a file? *confused*

i use visual C++ i just like it but it is a bit diffrent from devC++

my HS taught us programming intro on with dev c++. it wasn't so bad. i don't know any other IDEs for c ++ though anyone know if MS visual programing language is available yet? it looks really cool

Hey guys I downloaded dev C++ thanks I have a question though, in c++ is there a way to make different classes in the same project in more than 1 text box? Like in Java we can make different classes each on a different text box and then link them together later, just asking. Never used c++ before, but I'm gonna try learning off the internet
