Maker Level 2 glitch?

sooo I"m trying to get maker level two and I'm doing "Moren's Second Round of Teaching" quest and it says make an intermediate crystal 1 and I bought one from the FM and turned it in and it somehow said I got it from the FM so I actually made one killing beetles and it says that I used the FM AGAIN even though I didn't sooo how do you finish the quest

i make two crystals.... kill Homunculus and make it with the "May Mist" drop (better than travel to leafre, and �better spawn?)
