V.87 Fixes (W7 especially; More than one, so look in here.)

| Guys, I figured it out. :D Also, I'm currently running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a Toshiba Satellite(Sexy). So if you haven't figured it out by now, follow these steps if you're either: -Freezing with any patchers. -Nothing happens/starts after you press start game. And remember. This fix is specifically targeted towards Windows 7 users. In the link posted at the bottom, there are XP AND Windows7/Vista fixes for all issues. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you've already redownloaded the v87 Downloader and/or installed, skip down to step 4 1. Uninstall and delete all files/forms of Maple. 2. Download the v87 Downloader from the site and then restart your computer ( Important to do before installing ) 3. Download and install Maple to a specified folder of your choice. Make sure you direct all Maple related patches/files here. 4. IF by chance you're running Norton, go to "Program Control", set these .exe's to 'Allow': ~GameLauncher.exe ~Maplestory.exe This will allow Hackshield and/or Maple to connect through your firewall, so this eliminates a few common errors. 5. Afterward, right click your Maplestory.exe and go to Properties. 6. Click the Compatibility tab. 7. If you haven't tampered with it, it should have a compatibility mode checked, Untick the compatibility box, and if you're already an Administrator, make sure that "Run as Administrator" is unticked. 7b. (Optional) If you want peace of mind, I recommend you restart your computer once more due to the several system changes you've made. 8. By now, you should be able to freely launch Maple (and play) from either the site or the gamelauncher. ========= If you have ANY other possible problem such as a Hackshield error, or a Maple error such as (Error -2147..., Error =-30), look here: http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/thread/2623269.aspx This lists many, many, MANY....in fact. It lists all the errors I've ever seen outside of this one, and even like 10 I've never heard of. So, Happy Mapling. Post here if you succeed and also if you still have trouble and I'll try to assist. |

But people still tend to forget amongst all these threads of people fixing things different ways and whatnot. You follow one thread, then another, next thing you know you have no .wz files and 7 patchers in a folder. |

| Even when it is unticked with the compatibility, it will still not start. Gameguard won't run, better yet nothing will run after going to GameLauncher > Start Game. |
