whats the catch with these foreverlasting nx items

there has to be some catch.... it doesn't make sense for nexon to have permanent items! isnt this bad for the company? how will they make money then? please someone explain this to me.

Well... 1. They cost more. 2. They're just for appearance. 3. Appearance things don't make much money anyway. Notice that the important stuff like Pet AP and pet stuff in general is still expiring. And Smegas are still 1-use. Most of the big sellers there still expire. The clothing thing probably didn't make much money anyway, so maybe Nexon is using this as a ploy to get some old players back / get some people who wouldn't normally buy NX clothes to do so?

Well, as aznkwonboa said, people will get tired of the look. But lots of people don't buy NX because it doesn't last very long - only 3 months. If they introduce a permanent option, people will think "now THIS is worth buying, because it lasts forever." Which is true, to an extent. That's why I've spent like $80 on guns in Combat Arms - they never go away. So, it's actually a very good way to get MORE people to buy NX, and also people are going to want multiple sets of clothing that last forever. EDIT: permanent =/= 6 months. o_O

NAh you will only profit from these perm NX items if you wear it for more than 180 days. That means that they're expecting the majority of MS players to either, quit within those days, or play another character (making those nx items useless)

I was considering getting permanent NX thinking it was a godsend, but then I realized, i'd get bored of those clothes after about 5 months, not nearly forever and just barely more then the norm so they trust that people want variety as opposed to long lasting clothes. Not everything is permanent also, such as pets, gach, stores, emotes, smegas, pet accessorys, 2x exp/drop and ALOT MORE EDIT: @above: he probably was just giving an example of how long it would take for someone to get bored of a look as opposed to the actual expiration date. He is pretty much saying the 6 months of wearing the clothes you pay for (double the price of normal 3 month clothes) is going to get boring

yes but sadly it was a limited range of permanent pets and the equips for them aren't permanent so you gotta keep getting new ones
