How to make Latency Better

Hi I was bossing today, but I found that I had some annoying lag spikes at spots and I ended up dying twice >_>. Can someone give me suggestions on how to make my latency better outside of maplestory so I can improve the latency in game? TY in advance.

Test your network latency here. http://www.pingtest.net/ IMO, anything under 50ms is desirable. Network lag in MapleStory and games could be caused by the actual servers hosting it, so you might not be able to do anything about it.

As well as physical distance. I don't have any lag spikes because I live within 30 miles of Los Angeles Koreatown.
