Fixing v.87 problems

Update: Windows Vista users, please read! If MapleStory doesn't open and shows this error, then follow these steps: Go to your MapleStory folder and find the following files: # ASPLnchr.exe # GameLauncher.exe # MapleStory.exe # Patcher.exe # Setup.exe Right click each one, go to Properties > Compatibility > Uncheck everything EXCEPT "Run as Administrator" (check this one). Then run MapleStory from the website. Also, if there is more than one account on your computer, click "Show Settings for All Users". Visual walkthrough: http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/4826/helpvx.jpg Windows XP You MUST be on an account with administrator privileges. 1. Redownload the patch from here: http://download3.nexon.net/maplestory/fullversion/ManualPatcherv87.exe 2. Press [Control] + [Alt] + [Delete] at the same time. 3. Go to the [Processes] tab. 4. Find MapleStory.exe and/or ManualPatcherv87.exe (if they exist) and end all instances. 5. If you used any type of hacks, make sure you replace edited files with clean files. 5.5. Go to your MapleStory folder and delete any folder present EXCEPT FOR HShield. If you have previously patched and failed, you will see folders with weird names like "xovxaz81". Delete them. 6. Run the ManualPatcherv87.exe. 7. When it finishes, go to the MapleStory website and start the game. If any more problems occur, make sure you aren't missing any files in MapleStory or MapleStoryHSield or any subfolder. Same problem as Bluj, I start the patch and dies at 3/3 Base.wz.

I suggest you all re download maple http://download3.nexon.net/maplestory/fullversion/MSSetupv85.exe version .85 and patch from their. On the nexon site it even says it will auto patch to 0.87 i had an old version of maple which was .85 and i haven't had no problems. Hope this helps

Hope this helps [/quote] I got v84 from a mirror and it only auto patched to v86, the site was wrong.

V85 is a more recent version nexon shouldn't have added that it will patch older before v85. Cause someone could have 0.60 and it wont auto patch. Last time i tried that i was told to download a new version of maple

Where am I supposed to right click manual v87 to run it as an admin? Only place I seem to access it is from my internet browser, and if I right click it there there is no option to run it as an admin.
