Ok, I guess I'll make a really noob-friendly tutorial. First off, read everything HERE. (Official Site) Ok, so here's the tutorial. 1. Make sure you have v86. How do you know? You have v86 if you played after the v86 patch but before v87. 2. Go HERE (Official Site). 3. Scroll down until you see something that looks like THIS. 4. Click on the Mushroom-House thing. 5. Save it, remember where it saved. 6. Go to the folder you saved it in. 7. Double-click it. 8. Select the folder you have Maple installed to. 8.5 This is usually C:NexonMaplestory. 9. Press OK or whatever. 10. Let it patch. 11. Press PLAY! 11.5 It will the Maplestory Site. 12. Log on at the Maple-site. 13. Press START GAME with the Mushmom and Red Snail. 14. Select your World. 15. Select your favorite Channel. 16. Select the character you would like to play on. 17. Input your PIC. 18. Have fun Mapling! Well, I hoped it helped. It's EXACTLY what I did. If you still have problems, I feel bad for you.

Ok after trying everything for the past couple of hours, eventually the patch finished. Then afterward it just fails to start. After gameguard it just tells me server check, firewall BS message. I know it's not firewall issue since I know my settings.

This really didnt help the problem with it being stuck at Maplestory exe or w/e.

Mine completed and I pressed play and it wouldn't work, so I ran the patch again (lol) and it starts at base.wz and gets stuck. Could someone who has a working one maybe upload their working v0.87 version of base.wz somewhere?

I've tried restarting the patch like a billion times because it keeps freezing, but it continues to freeze. Not it's on MAPLESTORY.exe [3/3]. The blue bar is full.

I thought it was settled now that patch on the website is STILL v86, and you need to change the 6 to a 7 in the URL. So either this guide is missing a step or some people just got lucky with the patch on the website. I tried the v86 patch and its stuck right at the beginning "Creating: base.wz" Also tried the v87, it patched fine for a while but eventually got stuck at the maplestory.exe

I didn't use the manual patch. I just went on the site and clicked start game to let it patch by itself. It worked like a charm, I was one of the first ones on.
