dexless vs reg/low dex

note this refers to dual blades and maybe bandits only, because sins have dexless claws at lvl 90 or something: I've been wondering why people want to be really want to be dexless DBs with dex equips rather than low dex (with some luk equips) after lvl 120 or so. If we had this scenario (all other equips are constant): -Player1 has 25 base dex and 30 dex helm (dexless) -Player2 has 55 base dex and 30 luk helm (low dex) Whats the difference? Can't I just become a 55 base dex DB and usee some luk equips? People say that the difference is maple warrior benefits dexless more by giving more luk. I've done some calculations and I still see no difference (see bottom) Can anyone help? that would be much appreciated =D ---Calculations of max maple warrior at lvl 200--- dexless (979 base luk, 25 base dex) effect of maple warrior: 979 x 0.15= 146.85 1125.85 luk 25 x 0.15= 3.75 28.75 dex +30BaseDex (949 base luk, 55 base dex) effect of maple warrior: 949 x 0.15= 142.35 1091.35 luk 55 x 0.15= 8.25 63.25 dex Both have 1154.6 total. (+30basedex has more dex, less luk, so can't I just use more luk equips?) Also if I made 2 threads about this (which I honestly can't remember, because it was late last night and i can't find it ><) I'm sorry =D

The reason why people prefer dex equips is because they want higher base luk. It is mainly for Maple Warrior. Because with maple warrior, it only affects and raises base stats. So if your pumping all your stats from level ups into luk and only getting dex from the equips. The affect of maple warrior will be much greater. I hope that answered your question.

I was asking myself the same question. In my preparation I have about roughly 50 Dex in my equips at Lv. 50 so what should I cap my Dex at?

you kind of need dex for the blades , so dexless is an incredibly horrible idea for DBs , atleast until Maple Anniversary blades and other non-dex required blades are released. low dex , you'll need some crazy funding to equips those blades (:

[/quote] Dow you know HOW it does? because I calculated the effect maple warrior had on base dex and base luk (remembering it affects BOTH dex and luk). Sure it affects luk more with dexless, but affects dex less than a lowdex person. According to my calculations, this evens out to give the same amount of ability points. and @ above, I'm not even considering maple items, I'm talking about end game items and why people prefer lower dex with dex equips, compared to reg dex and luk equips (where I want to wield lvl 120 weapons in both situations)
