[/quote] If Nexon released the patcher already, you could patch right now. If they haven't released the patcher yet though, then patching right now is impossible. If you patch now though, you won't be able to play the game until after the patch is officially released. So patching either during or after the maintenance would be best. And for everyone asking why they have to have a patch... Maintenances happen when they need to change stuff on the server, and patches happen when they need to change the files on your computer. If they're having a patch, it means that at least one of the bugs they're going to fix is inside the game's files. And in order to change your files, they need to patch them. I can't think of any reason they'd have to patch manually instead of automatically though, unless the auto-patcher was broken too or something.

im so confused right now i downloaded the big red button like someone said but when i run it in the maple folder it freezes at Base.wz wht am i supposed to do?

Step 1: Wait until the scheduled maintenance is over (as originally planned) Step 2: Locate and download the v.87 manual patcher as directed (manual patcher = the entire patch in a downloadable form) Step 4: Launch the manual patch program and let it do it's thing (it will tell you when it's done) Step 5: ? Step 6: PROFIT!

Seriously? Now that Nexon fixes all the problems, we have people complaining about how we have to download a manual patch? Is it so much work that you have to complain about? Nexon doesn't have to run this game, but they do. Yet so many people complain about anything and everything. It's not like you have to reinstall maplestory itself.
