"Piracy should be ok"

I was reading the comments on http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100622/media_nm/us_piracy and i just realized how sad it is that people are trying to justify pirating. It's also sad that the main argument is "movies are too expensive to watch" and "movie stars get paid too much" when there are legit reasons for both of them. Opinions on piracy? Personally i believe piracy is the same as stealing.

I'm sure there's a lot of talent in the world just none of them is "found." Like I bet there are people in America who could act just as "good" as the actors on Hollywood. It's just that they aren't found by the agencys or anything. There are plenty of actors and musicians in the world we just don't look for them.

Well in the case of music it actually helps newer bands get a fanbase. There's been multiple bands that have said they don't really mind that much if people download their albums. Everyone knows that they make most of their money off concerts and merch. Now movies on the other hand...

You have to take the initiative. And you can't just be "found". You have to work hard after given the chance to continue to be good.
