I highly doubt you wont be able to play DS games on it, but it's more likely than not that you can't play 3DS games on the DS. Just think about it, name one system that introduced a new type of game (ie. PS3 games), that you could play on the past system (PS2). DS don't count because they never released a brand new game type for the DSLite, or the DSi. |

They have a new product that they want to sell, and it won't sell as much if they make it so that older version of the DS that most people own can play 3DS games. |

| I honestly think the 3DS will be really successful. just look at all the games already announced for it before it's even released. Super Street IV Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy Metal Gear Solid Resident Evil Dead or Alive Dynasty Warriors Ninja Gaiden Assassin's Creed Kid Icarus Paper Mario Mario Kart and more also the improved graphics are really nice. the analog slider was a nice touch too |
