Another Adventurer Ring Question!

Currently I am level 50 and am not sure which ring to get for my Dragon Knight. I have a friend that says Critical rings will not work for a non critical based character, and says to obtain a cruel. I believe later on 5% more critical rate will defeat 1 weapon attack. So I just need clarification on whether or not a critical ring with still do critical damage or not?

The main theory is any class with a base crit should get crit ring. Seeing as your a Drk I'd advise still going with critical even though you don't have a base critical because if you ever go bossing in a party you will most likely have SE. Critical ring + SE > Cruel/Magical ring + SE due to a higher chance of critical.

I have read the stickies and the only info they state is if you are able to obtain sharp eyes get critical. If not cruel. MY question was will the critical still GIVE critical without sharp eyes? And the theory that critical goes to only critical chars is not a very good judgment. Considering a 10% critical rate will give more dpm than a 1 weapon attack.
