Even if it is $500 on a game, there are rich folks who spend over $10k on a specially made game system, such as a golden PS3. While it may be made out of gold, in the end, no one will do anything with it aside from play games.

If you enjoy Maplestory enough spending 500 dollars isn't that much. People spend more money than that upgrading their dirtbikes, quads, paintball guns and other things people enjoy. I don't get why it being a video game is so bad. But on the other hand, it's a chair. I don't even see the point spending 40mil on a char. But if you gotta have it you gotta have it.

[/quote] yes but dont forget, in the process of getting that chair, the person also got 550 gachapon tickets worth of items, which will sell for, most likely, no less than 5 to 6bil.

You see guys, this isn't $500 dollars over time. This is one spending splurge, on a virtual chair. This isn't right. No man in the right mind would do that. It's completely rediculous. The damn thing can't even benefit him/her in game. It's a worthless collectors item. $500. This isn't like spending 20K NX so you can change your characters looks. This is $500 freakin' dollars.
