| Nintendo really showcased the 3DS this year. And afterwords I think we can understand why. The psp surprised everyone too with amazing graphics that could easilly beat the gc at the time. So my question is, does the 3DS surpass the psp in potential? |

| >Rumored Nvidia Graphics card > Said to have processing power in par with the GC and Wii >The obvious 3d perk and 3d camera >Improved wi-fi capabilities >Sleek design, which could change as it is still in development >Adjustable 3d effects, has all previous capabilities of its predecessors. >Capable of playing 3d movies, widescreen, high resolution. So yes in potential, it blows the psp off the water. |

| I'm gonna say yes. Nintendo has such a huge audience, and such a huge game selection. They focus for both audiences, casual and hardcore. |

| Also, I hate how microsoft and sony are pounding on each other without realizing they are being overrun by a bigger threat, nintendo, in terms of gaming. |
At the pace both microsoft and sony is going, it's going to be hard to catch up, again in terms of gaming. I'm not just talking about the handheld Nintendo is releasing, their performance in general as of late, both of them have concentrated on either outdoing the other by repackaging what the other has already produced and make the buyers rip their hair off from choosing which to buy, the market they are targetting is also quite atrociously picky, whereas nintendo reaps in profits from both casual and hardcore gamers. EDIT: The older gamers are few in number, they aren't the main source of income for the companies, rather the upcoming gaming generation and the present one, which is slowly being sucked in by Nintendo. |
Why? Nintendo was dead for an entire generation of consoles. It's winning now. Both could easily catch up at some point. Both are pushing technology and perfecting what will end up being the next generation. And to the edit, I would argue that. More and more gamers are getting college age and above. They don't stay young forever. |
Call me assumptious but all those 2 are concentrating on as of now is either more FPS games, and oh look, more FPS games, wait better graphics, I recall you saying it isn't about flashy colors, well it really isn't as you said. It's the experience, now call me ignorant but the only experience I get these days from my PS3 or possibly my friends who play XBox live is either shooting people, and shooting more people, under different game titles, then there'll be the said motion sensing which to be honest, is a repackaged fad that is trying to stand out in a fast growing market. |
