Few Questions about bossing

hey I just hit 120 yesterday on my Aran, and I was wondering when I would be able to go on scar and zak runs. I'm unwashed with about 5.4k base hp, if that helps. And how much accuracy would I need? I only have 137 since I switched off my karstan. Any other help is greatly appreciated as well. :D

I"m positive you can hit Scars and Zak's fine. I'm pretty sure you can zak with/without hb as long as you don't go combat stepping into the body and you can scar if you have hb. (I had about the same amount of hp and I was dropping to like 500 after every hit on the third body, but it didn't kill me.)

hes a noob aran whose nvr zakked and does not have fs, when zak dizzys him and spawn hits him into zak, or he rushes zak, he will die. until he learns how to zak properly. i died when i zakked first time, so have every other aran friend i have, practice makes perfect. lol i miss having 15k hp on my drk,,but meh.

[/quote] The thread is not about whether or not he knows how to zak but rather if he CAN, and he can. Besides the reason you died is probably because your used to a Drk Knight anyway. You can get hit 1-2 times before death but adjusting to Aran you cant. He on the other hand has been an Aran he probably knows what he can and cant do.

lol well, maybe your right. bozo go zak and tell us if you die or not your first run. i can go pink bean,,,doesnt mean i can beat it or survive it. I nvr leeched my aran, and even after playing with it to 120, facing zak is a different experience then training at gallos and himes. I doubt he knows the correct distance to attack zak from, or that he has to be careful not to rush zak when monsters spawn, or not to use snow charge when on 3 rd body, due to spawn. And not to push foreward foreward when stunned, because sometimes it connects and makes u dash foreward when you get out. The only way hes gonna learn these things is to face zak, not from people telling him how to zak, and the odds are he is going to die.

You are able to hit Scar and Zakum fine. Zakums Final body does 9k touch DMG, but because it doesn't move, you should be fine, as long as u don't accidently rush into the body. As for Scarlion, Its 3rd body hits around 7.5k. BUT it moves and jumps, so in order to do that, you MUST have HB

I'm pretty sure you need HB to Zak on it's third body, right? EDIT: Touch Damage though, so you're fine.

I wouldn't Scar/Zak until you have either 30 OS or a good amount of HM and 20 OS. FS 10 would also help a lot. Zak has a lot of hp and going through a whole fight w/out getting hit once isn't likely, so make sure you can get HB. Edit: Also try soloing Pap. Imo Pap is the first "real" boss and is like a test to see whether or not you're fit to boss yet. If you can't solo Pap you'll be a hinderance to your team at Scar or Zak imo.

The pre-quests all come from some guy in ludi f3. After that map w/ the really big drop and u have a choice to go left or right (right being where soul teddies and stuff are) talk to the guy on the right and do his quests. You have unlimited time for Pap. First stage just watch ur hp carefully. 2nd stage pot like a madman and hope for the best.

I wanted to see if I could handle Zak at 120 but I really dont feel like doing the prequests for pap.

I don't think you should try bossing yet until u got more experience with the 4th job skills as how far it goes, whats the safe distance, and whatnot. I think train a lil more to 130ish before bossing so you'll have a good amount of stance. I first boss when I was 125 and let me tell u its hard keeping your distance when zak summons... and when I accidently rush to zak I'm dead. I guess practice makes perfect. Hope this helped.
