What are stone shield's for?

To everyone who wants to know what they are really for this is it. Due to the high HP and def they are really wanted by Beginner's and Str Mage's. The high def helps Beginner's a lot due to the Def formula in Beginner's and Str mage's want because they have the second best Def formula and the HP is nice.
