Significant updates made to "which ring is best for ME?" section. Last Update: 6/17 20:59 BT With the coming of the "Return of the Adventurers" patch, as well as the ending of the Lilin's ring event, there has been more and more talk (threads) about the the rings, and even more question threads about which ring is most appropriate. Try as I might, I am not able to answer all of the questions arising, and due to many misconceptions about the rings, I am finding that people with inquiries have a hard time figuring out what to believe, and leave their threads more confused than when they started. As a result, I decided to make this reference thread comparing each ring so you can ultimately decide which ring is best for YOU. The thread can also serve as a place of positive discussion and inquiries with anything related to the rings, or balance patch in general. Disclaimer The Adventurer rings have just been released in GMS (June 16th, 2010). As such, all the information I am getting carries the risk of being slightly inaccurate. However, the way I see it, you would much rather have me share what I know, with the understanding that it could be slightly flawed, rather than me not saying anything, and you being kept in the dark. I will give answers that are to the very best of my knowledge at the moment that they are written and I will update the info as quickly as the need arises. The Lilin's ring has also already been released in GMS, and we can be sure of it's stats. What is an "Adventurer Ring" and what is a "Lilin's ring" For those who have been living under a rock for the past few months , the Adventurer rings are three different rings are released in v0.86 "Return of the Explorers Patch", along with serveral other changes to the Explorer classes. The implementation of this patch is finally official, as well as confirmation that the rings will be implemented with the patch (read more about that . The Lilin's ring is a quest item all the way back from the Aran release date, which was obtainable by leveling up an Aran (This quest is no longer available). The stats of the rings are as follows: Adventurers Cruel Ring REQ LV: 30 Weapon Attack: +3 Magic Attack: +1 HP: +180 MP: +100 Has a 1% chance to instant kill 1 enemy 5% chance of dealing Critical Damage (20% Damage) Adventurers Critical Ring REQ LV: 30 Weapon Attack: +2 Magic Attack: +1 HP: +180 MP: +100 Has a 1% chance to instant kill 1 enemy 10% chance of dealing Critical Damage (10% Damage) Adventurers Magical Ring REQ LV: 30 Weapon Attack: +1 Magic Attack: +5 HP: +100 MP: +180 Has a 8% chance to stun an enemy for 6 seconds 5% chance of dealing Critical Damage (20% Damage) Lilin's Ring 3 REQ LV: 10 Weapon Attack: +3 Magic Attack: +3 STR: +3 DEX: +3 INT: +3 LUK: +3 HP: +30 MP: +30 (There are different levels of this ring, this one is at maxed level) As you can see, each ring is extremely useful, unfortunately, there is a catch, if the rings operate in GMS like how they operate in KMS and KMST,
Knight5n1p3r : To sum up everything I just said (first choice is reccommended): Beginner = Adventurer's Cruel Ring Bow Master = Adventurer's Critical Ring Marksman = Adventurer's Critical Ring Wind Archer = Adventurer's Critical Ring Mage (Any Kind) = Adventurer's Magical Ring Corsair = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) Buccaneer = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) Thunder Breaker = Adventurer's Critical Ring Night Lord = Adventurer's Critical Ring STR Shadower = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) LUK Shadower = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) DEXless Shadower = Adventurer's Cruel Ring Night Walker = Adventurer's Critical Ring DEXless Hero = Adventurer's Cruel Ring LowDEX (ST, Wing) Hero = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) DEXless Paladin = Adventurer's Cruel Ring Low DEX (ST, Wing) Paladin = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) DEXless Dark Knight = Adventurer's Cruel Ring Aran = Adventurer's Critical Ring DEXless Dawn Warrior = Adventurer's Cruel Ring Low DEX (ST, Wing) Dawn Warrior = Lilin's Ring (or Adventurer's Cruel Ring) 5) The Lilin Ring event didn't end yet, it's still going on! • The Lilin's ring is in fact, no longer obtainable. The reason many (including myself) said that the event lasted until the 16th was because the event ended at midnight PST instead of immediately after the patch which tricked many into thinking that the event ended on the 16th.
Actually, you are wrong on why people believed it was the 16th. Thw website advertised that the lilin's ring event ended on the 16th. However, two ncps in game said two different things: 6th and the 9th. It just so happens that the game was programmed to end on the 9th. http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1544228/0/Lilian_Ring_Upgrade.html# Anyway, my take on your suggestions: Beginner = Lilin's ring is optimal. While the critical chance is nice, Beginers attack too slowly for it to be of much use, and they need the dex to increase acc and minumum damage (they have no mastery). Bow Master = Adventurer's Critical Ring Marksman = Adventurer's Critical Ring Wind Archer = Adventurer's Critical Ring Mage (AM, Bishop)= Depends. Low luk gets +9 stats from lilin's ring, lukless gets 6, and Magic Ring gets a 1% dpm boost with 5 stats for all. If Lilin's ring is the difference of using makered equips or no, then its far better in solo. If not or if you party with a BM/MM then go for the Magic Ring. Corsair = Cruel or Critical ring especially if partying with a BM/MM. And even though it adds 6 stats, its not enough to beat the extra Watt of the cruel ring. Buccaneer = Any adventurer ring. Preferably the Critical, but Cruel is still good and they can make use of the random 8% stun chance of the magic ring (results will vary based on playing style though) Thunder Breaker = Adventurer's Critical Ring Night Lord = Adventurer's Critical Ring STR Shadower = Lilin's Ring +9 stats and 3 watt. No class gets more out of this ring. LUK Shadower = Adve
iShAn : Why should i get critical? i need more attk wouldn't i need cruel and cruel is 30 lvl ups?
Cruel gives 1 more attack than Critical, Thats about a hundred-ish extra damage? While Arans inherit critical damage,so it adds thousand of damage.

Aran can be affected by Thorns, but it's not clear to me how it works so I left it out. For Marauders/Buccaneers: they act like classes without critical when attacking a normal monster, but if it's stunned they get to use their own values. For the Cygnus Knights: Wind Archer and Thunder Breaker work the same way as regular Archers, Night Walkers work the same way as Assassins do.
Might be usefull. Anyways, good guide. It's got just about everything one needs to know about the rings.

Magical ring for overall DPM. Cruel Ring for a slight increase in consistancy of damage. Also, when we get dual blades, the optimal ring for most cases of partying with a DB will be the crtical ring, thanks to thorns.
I was very aware of the fact that the website said the 16th, nearly everyone going after the Lilin's ring knew that. What happened was that Nexon did not take out the quest during the June 9th patch when everyone thought they would, they waited an additional 24 hours until midnight of the last time zone before removing the quest from the game. People (like myself) checked to see if the quest still worked right after the June 9th patch, which it did, so we automatically assumed that the quest would last until the 16th. So, you said leveling any character 30 times? If I make a mule, lv1, and get it to lv31, will I get a ring? Not answered in your guide. EDIT: Slightly confusing there on the first read through, but yes, it does answer the above question. Does this mean that the mule character has to be created before the patch?
