How do you dream?

I saw the lucid dreams thread and was going to post this there, but I doubt I'll get many replies and if I got a lot I wouldn't want to hijack the thread. I've asked a few people I know this question including relatives, and a lot of the answers were different. I figured I'd ask Basil because you're all sooper co0l people and I'm curious. When you dream, is it in black and white, or in colour, and do you dream in the 1st person or 3rd person? (as in are you in your own body). My dreams are pretty weird. Most of the time they're in black and white/'greyscale' and I am never in my own body, when I have lucid dreams I can watch myself move and do things but I am never IN the body, if that makes sense. If I look at the floor I don't see anything, it's like I'm invisible, but I can see myself in front of me.

When I dream, it's sometimes REALLY realistic, or it's completely fake, like a cartoon. The thing is, whenever I walk in a door and go into a place, it's completely different, and when I go out, it's a different place. Everything is in color, always. O.o

lol, (I am the guy he speaks of) You're dreams are different and similar to mine. I am never IN a body, and I'm basically invisible, and see myself in front of me. However, I am basically a thoughtless thing, because I can hardly even tell I exist. It's like I sit there, thinking of nothing, just watching... (Maybe shoulda listened when parents said not to watch TV.) However, I NEVER see my dreams in while or white. Almost always in color. Oh, and if you know you're dreaming, and its 3rd person view, then that's basically the first stage (multi stages from knowing your sleeping-God of your dream). Atleast you have the ability to gain the conscience in dream... I can nearly never remember mine, and I haven't realized I was dreaming during a dream since I was 8.

Oh, forgot to add to the first post, but sometimes I dream with tunnel vision, that's pretty scary =/ Thanks for the comments so far, I don't know why but I find it really interesting to read about this kinda stuff. I'm going to try and be able to control my lucid dreams better, I like the idea of being able to do whatever I can imagine.

1st person In color usually involving someone or myself being tortured. And I can sometimes feel pain, which wakes me from those dreams. And one time I had a dream where my family was a bunch of serial killers, and my mom was assigned to kill me, and I begged her to do it. Weird.

Colorfully in varying points of view, ranging from repeating mundane tasks to wild adventures. Some strange wet ones involving Dawn from Pokemon all the way to cheerleaders. All dreams are lucid but usually I decide against interfering with them. Nothing special, really.

I have 3rd person dreams, but not as often as first person dreams. I have 2nd person dreams a fair amount too where I am someone else. My dreams tend to lack bright colors like red, blue and yellow, but they definitely aren't grey-scale. I have a lot of dreams that are pretty crazy and not based in reality, but as I've gotten older I feel like I'm having more lifelike dreams.
