Heros at Bosses?

Are heros at bosses like zakum,themepark,ht really needed? It seems that they are the only warrior class imo that isnt really needed in boss runs. Spearman have Hb and pages have their hammer thingy. Arans are usefull in zakum for his arms ( or so I heard). Most of the boss runs Ive seen are usually made up of corsairs/nls/dk/bishops. Are they really needed at bosses? And please don't tell me about connections. Lets just say it was a random party.

You know very little it seems. Paladins are NOT wanted and their 'Hammer' doesn't add enough to their DPM to outclass a Hero.

When you dont need hb, heroes are choosen, even if you have HB, heroes are still choosen, we have high dpm

Heroes are pretty awesome. A hero once posted on a thread like this that when he logs on, his guild chat immediately fills with requests that he join a Zak/Scar run, go to CWKPQ, or sell BF leech.

Heroes aren't a must as other classes do have higher DPM, but they have a very high DPM and are thus wanted.

Bowmasters have better DPM. Honestly, the Warrior class isn't really one for exceptional 1v1 DPM. Heroes are about mid/high tier DPM (a lot less than the high tiers, but a bit more than the mid ones).

They are consistent damage-wise regardless of pt members, can tank hits, and in any situation with more then 1 target offer some very competitive dpm numbers even against the 1on1 powerhouses Needed? no, but you also don't "need" a nl to take down a boss either --

They are still chosen, but there are better classes when it comes to DPM. Their effectiveness is going away though. The balance patch killed them since Pally's will do more DPM on 1v1 vs. NEUTRAL monsters. The major flaw in Heroes is the fact that their DPM doesn't make up for the fact that they have no party buffs that are useful at bosses. DrK's have HB; BM/MM have SE; Bishops have Heal, Dispel, and Ress; Buccs have TimeLeap and SI. What do Heroes have? They do fall short of other classes DPM, but they have good DPM, nonetheless. Still, who would not take a Hero or any class on a boss run? More people is always better time wise.

If 1vs1 dpm was the only factor then heroes would definitely not be the staple they have become. Their dpm on multiple targets is what sets them apart from most other classes. Considering pallies blast only hits 1 target heroes effectiveness in their niche role is not diminished. Yes in solo boss situations they will no longer have the upper hand, but they still have their use at pt bossing since all the "worthwhile" bosses have multiple-target segments. Effectiveness going away? Yah a little. Killed? Nah
