I'm in 7th grade, and there are people who get all F's and don't even care. It's not cause they can't do it, it's just that they don't even try. I hate to see what high school's gonna be like for them . -.-

Yup...I think it's ok not to try in certain classes (seeing as we don't get to choose here). Like second languages and phys. ed.

In my area, even if you failed, you'd go on to high school anyway, unless you parents wanted you to repeat, so I didn't study for anything, got by with 70's and 80's though.

lol , ur looking at it, once i hit high school i failed like crazy, now im entering grade 12 and im 12 credits short of grad with only 10 slots filled...going back as a mature student afterwords

They'll probably try harder in high school. Most colleges don't even look at 7th grade records anyways.

Well I don't even think anything matters in middle school except for placement. I mean there's this one kid who got by with C's, D's, and F's and now he's a straight A student with tons of worthwhile classes.

I hate to say it, but what grades you get in middle school do not matter. Trust me, even if you apply to Harvard, they only ask for your high school record.

As stated, grades do mot matter in middle school. Unless their parents care, why should they care as long as they understand what high school's rules are? (How grades work and how they can influence your life, etc.)

The counselors tried to get me to go to a different school and a bunch of people were telling me to go for a GED instead. I was like hell no I'm graduating with my class lol.
