why are they recalling the glass cups if they are safe?

[/quote] apparently their worried that some little kid is gonna ruin the paint on the outside of the glass, putting it to his hand and then eating something thus eating the cadmium they were painted with, which brings me to 1 2nd question. why use a toxic chemical in paint when in this day and age you know its toxic?

The thing is that the glasses were created fully safe. However, the FDA changed the regulations on the chemical used in the paint of the glass after the glasses were created, so the glasses aren't safe anymore via the FDA's new regulations. McDonald's hasn't done anything wrong.
