So as a lvl 77 dk, i'm considering training at Himes. I have 132 acc, not including sniper pills, and my pole arm fury is lvl 18 and damage range 954~2844 without warrior elixer. Should i wait couple more levels? If so, what level should i go? Also, is soloing as good as himing with a priest meaning is there a big % gain gap if i solo then party with a priest?

i'd wait a fair while before you even consider looking at himes, there is a fair % increase with training with a priest coupled with the fact you get heal and HS and they mob for you. 178 acc at your level would mean a 50% hit rate at himes and really for decent training you would want a hit rate of 75% or so at himes. next thing to factor in is the damage reduction based on level you'd lose 23% of your damage before def is factored. Seriously just stick to WR/WS and those new vikerola/gallopera maps till mid 80's when its much more feasible.

At lvl 95 you need 149 acc to 100% himes... at lvl 77? You have no shot of hitting them. I'd stick with wolf spiders till at least lvl 85, then MAYBE you could consider training there with a priest if you have enough acc. Soloing is not going to be a good idea until lvl 95 I'd say. You could try at 90 but the pot burn will be enormous.

At your level with your accuracy you would hit himes 11% of the time. With an accuracy pill that goes up to 19%. With your accuracy you will hit them 78% of the time at level 93 and 100% of the time at level 97. With an accuracy pill. You definitely need to wait.

I went at 85 the exp is awesome, bring a priest cause if you don't the pot burn is HUGE not to mention that HS makes your training even faster. I wouldn't suggest soloing till 95+ remember that blessing gives you 20+ acc another reason to bring a priest!

Also, is soloing as good as himing with a priest meaning is there a big % gain gap if i solo then party with a priest? [/quote] I've been himing and this is what I found: If you're partying with a priest, have them mob them all to one side and stay AHEAD of the Priest so you get constant heal. (Mounts are prefect for this) With a Priest, you don't need to be able to 100% hit the Himes, 70% should do fine. If you're soloing, I recommend 130% Speed or more pill-ed and 100% hit accuracy. Why? To conserve pots. Its either that or burn out of pots in an hour. What you then do is one of three options: 1) Mob to one side and Fury to death. 2) Mon to one side and back-jump around the map from side to side and then finish. Example: Back-jump mob from left to right then from right to left and then finish them off. Why? Pots. If you mob to one side, you use much more pots. More on this later. 3) Keep back-jump mobbing the whole time. Example: Back-jump mob from left to right, then right to left, the left to right, yada yada. Why? You use the least amount of pots... TIPS: I recommend #2 as its fast exp (slower than #1) but uses considerably less pots than #1 while using just a bit more than #3, thus making it the most efficient. How does this work? Because when you stop moving (and staying ahead of the Himes... try staying one fury length infront) they can attack you with magic or touch, dealing 1.5-1.8k damage with a Zhelm on. If you go method #1, you're less mobile the whole time and thus use more pots. Method #3 is the least pot cost because you're constantly moving, but this makes you train slower as you have to run, jump, and attack. That lowers your attacking speed by 2 to 3 times. That's why method #2 is so great. You use less pots as you're mobile more than #1 but you move less than #3, insuring that you have more DoT. Why 100% accuracy? KB... if you can't Knock Back the Himes... soloing can be a pain in the behind as they can slip past (they have over 130% speed) and can give you a punch and break your back-jumping. Remember to stay quite a ways in front of the himes, not so far that you can't Fury them, but far enough so they cant Magic Attack you. This is what I found my % to be at 90. At level 90, I was gaining 36%-40% per hour SOLOing. At level 91, I was gaining 50% per hour WITH A PRIEST. You do the math, 10%-14% more per hour with a Priest and I gained 300k in mesos not counting drops. This doesn't take into consideration the fact that I needed more exp at 91 than 90. I hope this helped. Phantur out. |

NO HIMES YET SIR! Vikerolas are beast exp I'm serious You can get around 1% every minute there, and on 2x, that would be 2% every minute. That's 60% for 30minutes and 120% on 2x :D
