I always find it interesting to see where nexon has just taken an old idea, and made it "their own". So here's the list: Warning, i admit these are all copied from Wikipedia Andras Helm Original idea: Marquis Andras A Prince of Hell, having under his command thirty legions of demons. He sows discord among people. Valefor Helm Original Idea: Valefar Valefar is a Duke of Hell. He tempts people to steal and is in charge of a good relationship among thieves. Valefar is considered a good familiar by his associates "till they are caught in the trap. He commands ten legions of demons. Crocell Helm: Original Idea: Duke Crocell Crocell is the 49th spirit of the Goetia, manifesting as an angel with a tendency to speak in dark and mysterious ways. Once a member of the Powers, he is now a Duke of Hell who rules over 48 legions of demons. When summoned by a conjurer, he can teach geometry and other liberal sciences. He can also warm bodies of water, create the illusion of the sound of rushing waters, and reveal the location of natural baths. Marbas Helm Original Idea: President Barbas Barbas is a demon described in the Ars Goetia. He is described there as the Great President of Hell governing thirty-six legions of demons. He answers truly on hidden or secret things, causes and heals diseases, teaches mechanical arts, and changes men into other shapes. He is depicted as a great lion that, under the conjurer's request, changes shape into a man. Amdusias Helm Original Idea: King Amdusias Amdusias has forty legions of demons under his command (29 according to other authors) and has the rank of Great King. He is depicted as a human with claws instead of hands and feet, the head of a unicorn, and a trumpet to symbolize his powerful voice. Astaroth is a Prince of Hell. He is a male figure named after the female Canaanite goddess Ashtoreth. Just thought i'd toss this around... may be old... maybe you already know it.... at this point, not concerned :p

Zakum is Indian I think and means a Hellish Tree? I forget. There's a thread like this on Sleepy.

Is it really that bad that they're based on other legends? I mean how many games have angelic/demonic references? They sure a hell (no pun intended) didn't make them up! I personally like that they're researched and interesting and that the names have some meaning and aren't just randomly made up. Everyone finds a reason to jump on the nexon hatewagon these days. Why not hate them for something that is actually inconvenient lol.
