Why is it that in the past year or so, no matter where you go, there are desperate wankers trying to pick up? This is a GAME! Its ment to be enjoyed. So many times I've seen characters walk up to a female character, and start with some cheesy pick-up line. "Hey baby, wanna hook up in real life?" COME ON!!! About 20 minutes ago, I was sitting in Perion to heal, when some guy sat down next to a female character... she ran away from him, he left to follow, and I made a quip about him trying to chat her up, and call him sad. So, he came back, tried to abuse me(in the best possible way you can with swear words banned in MS), then defamed me and quit. This has happened before. Someone tried to chat up a female character, I give the person krap for being such a sad and desperate loser, then they proceed to abuse or defame me. GROW UP!! Has anyone else seen idiots like this? I want a game where people can just play. None of this trying to hook up with someone. Half the females on here are under 15(illegal if you weren't aware), parents who play with their own children(and don't need some 14yr old desperate boy trying to chat them up), or males that just wanted to have a female character, or someone on the other side of the world. *sighs* Whats with kids these days?

I tried to upload the screenshot of the conversation and him defaming me, but I dunno if it went through. But seriously, if your desperate enough to run up to some female sprite and beg her for her number(when you know nothing about her), then you should expect other players to give you krap for it.

Happens to me all the time. Annoying as hell, really downplays the fun of playing the game when they follow you around. Gotten a few free items though, i guess they think i owe them something if i accept.

Been followed around by those jerks, and also... they wont give up unless you do something like tell them off or like threaten them that you'd report them if they keep stalking you... it really annoys me coz, even 8 yr old boy is trying to do that and I'm waaaay older than him >.< ... i dunno what their parents thought them but that's just waaay wrong... and like you said, they dont even know you... like just yesterday, the halloween quest & cashshop items patch just finished and I bought the cat suit and cat hat, people keep following me and asking me to date them... what! its a game silly, i dont dress up like that in real life -.-; it looks so cute (I meant sprite), like dressing youre barbie doll a really cool clothes and stuffs ... it really annoys me -.-; how guys sometimes mistaken you of something that's not true because you wear this kinda stuffs in the game... its so frustrating... -.-; we play the game for fun, not to meet guys like them.. also someone calls my sprite a hooker -.-; for dressing up as a kitty coz its halloween ... what is his problem anyways -.-; grow up and get a life, i'm trying to have fun not wearing those clothes, and i dont wear them to pick up guys... -.-;

If I had known that Maple Story was going to be filled with the 10-15 year old crowd, I never would have started playing. People doing what Ragnarok said, and then people doing what Ragnarok did, calling someone a loser etc etc because they were talking to a female character, and then starting a thread to complain about getting defamed cause he called someone dumb. People spend so much time complaining about stuff, begging, harrassing other players it's just rediculous. Why can't everyone just play the game, and if someone else wants to be dumb, just let them be dumb and go play the game instead?

First of all, the "flirters" are all EXTREME nerds, how pathetic is it that they cant pick up a real girl nor get close to one, so they mask their identities to score. Hell, I bet 3/4 of these flirters are pedophiles <_<.
