So for some reason when ever i play ms on my laptop it makes my laptop turn off after about 5-10minutes of being on maple. the laptop just completely shuts off. ive heard that ms had compatability issues with ms, but this has never happened before. i used to play on my laptop all the time before i took a break and now i cant seem to stay on for more than 10minutes before my laptop just shuts down. like i said i have a laptop it runs on windows vista home premium sp1, 32 bit. aslo it might be helpful to state that when ever i want to run maple it always warns me about making sure i want to run maple becuase of a compatibility with the version.. if anyone can help fix the problem that would be very helpful. thanks

Do you have a dell? Cause mine started doing that for awhile then it pretty much died and never came back

Toshiba randomly shuts off when it uses too much memory or it overheats :P

yeah its a dell... i used to play on it all the time though like last year..and i wanted to come back to ms now that its summer...but it keeps shutting down..i was thinking maybe its the new versions of ms not being able to play on vista..idk :/

It could over heat easily, and using too much memory causes it too.

I have the same problem i have HP but mine seems to be working after i cleaned up the dust inside my PC so idk... maybe you can try cleaning the inside? but be careful not to interfere with any of the gears and stuff

Same with my Laptop, but I tend to put it on my lap when playing so it doesn't overheat. The best thing to do though, is to clean up all the dust on your laptop.

OT : The only thing I can think of to help would be running it as a admin, Also theres a way to make it stop giving the compatibility message, Forgot how though, But that may have something to do with it.

My computer is fast, but because it's vista, I dced during a zak run, and it was on 2nd body too. =/

Every computer has got a safety system build-in so it can't get to hot. When your cpu starts heating up (for example: when you start playing ms), it has to cool down, but when you have to much dust in your fans, the hot air can't get out fast enough, so the cpu can't be cooled down. The safety system just shuts down the computer when it reaches a certain temperature. Solution: Clean your fans! Or there could be a much worse problem, which in fact could be everything..

Even at the first body you're supposed to change it. Whenever you go Zak, remember to change your graphics every single body!
