How do I know if my goldfishes

are hungry? I have 3 goldfish and how do I know if they are hungry? I have pellets and flakes which one should I feed? How much should I feed and how many times a day?

You probably got instructions when you bought them. I'd recommend something along the lines of: Times: Morning and night or morning noon and night. Food: Flakes. Quantity: One tea/tablespoon. Edit: The last time I had goldfish I was eight, this is not from recent experience or teaching and don't fully trust my information. Please wait for someone else to post and comfirm. I hope I helped

I read online myself somewhere but it said, "Give them the amount they can eat in 2 minutes" I have an instinct that tells me when. I also was told you should feed them every 2-3 days, they can't die of hunger. Not sure if that's true though.

My goldfish seem to prefer flakes, because one day we bought pellets and they barely ate them. And usually you just have to feed them in the morning and at night with really just a pinch of flakes which can equate to a lot

Now you should also know that goldfish are stupid. They forget that they ate after a few minutes and will continue to eat until they die, if you happen to feed them that much.
