I plan on making a assassin but i don't know when to cap DEX. Is it possible to be between normal DEX and low DEX? I don't want to be too weak thats why. Oh and i said between low DEX and normal DEX because i don't have enough mesos to fund it. Help?
illpeonu : Hilarious. First of all, the most expensive equips are not the robe. Most thieves don't even use robes they use a top and bottom, the top for Luk and the bot for Dex. The most expensive equips are obviously the higher attack Claws. Second of all, do you have an assassin/hermit/NL? If you do, you would know that Mastery doesn't even out your damage and make everything stable. OT: In my opinion, I suggest you cap around 90. You don't have funding for the equips to have around 50-ish Dex.
Tell me a 20 dex robe is LESS expensive than a 30 mil Skanda, since if he plans to go low-DEX (which he mentioned) he'll need a good DEX robe. Guess what? Mastery was made for increasing your minimum damage, nothing else really does. Except if you go LUKless, 4 LUK and all DEX, you will have the most stable damage in the whole history of Maple EVER :O EDIT: I just read one of his posts, he says he can't even keep 1 mil, so Reverse weapons are out of the question. >:O

For 30mil, you'd probably only get a low 4x attack Skanda which in any case won't boost his damage majorly. TS wants high damage. If we were talking realistically, since TS is going Low Dex, he wouldn't be using a Skanda for later levels anyways. He will continue on to possibly use Red Cravens, which aren't exactly cheap, and I know for a fact that a good Craven will most certainly be more expensive than a silly 20 Dex Overall that he shouldn't even use. Continuing on, you say that Mastery will even out damage and nothing else will, yet you complete your argument by saying that a Lukless Thief will have the most stable damage, ultimately contradicting yourself. In reality, having a high base Dex will allow damage to even up. Finally, you never know, TS might get his act together and start getting higher up in terms of funds. He could quite possibly end up using Reverse weapons.

I never said that mastery will completely even out damage, I'm just simply POINTING OUT that nothing else really does, besides going LUKless. In your other post, you said that mastery doesn't help at all when evening out damage. I don't need to have a NL to know that mastery helps.
illpeonu : Second of all, do you have an assassin/hermit/NL? If you do, you would know that Mastery doesn't even out your damage and make everything stable.
You can't say that you didn't say that :O EDIT: I was thinking too, if he goes low dex, what can he possibly wear that's high level enough for him besides a 10 DEX robe? Level 50 theif tops/bottoms require 90 DEX! How will he get that? I mean without capping his DEX at 80-90.. To wear a Red Craven without a DEX robe is stupid since you would need to cap your DEX at least 110 DEX, with the Red Craven needing 140 DEX, unless you have a GM hat :O

How about wearing some Dex pants? Overalls aren't the only way to get Dex, nor are they the cheapest way.

Ok so just to clear things up i should have 90 Dex? Also, will i have decent damage with 90 Dex? Will my Dex last until level 200 as in ill have enough acc and avoid to hit high leveled monsters? ( not that i plan on going that high but just in case i enjoy it.)

DEX tops/pants are harder to find, and DEX robes are the most common way to get DEX, so they are a cheaper way to get DEX. @TS yeah try to get 90 DEX, and then get Steelies as fast as you can, do those quests which give you scrolls, and sell them. I say 90 DEX because you can't really afford any DEX equips with 1 mil o.o Before you have Steelies buy Icies, they're damn cheap. They sell for 15-25k a set. (Hard to find people that sell for under 10k, the time is just not worth saving 10k a set)
