Ok, I was playing on my new character, a mage "DrToxicologly" and I was laggign really bad. I switched to the lowest picture quality, and tried to keep going. I still lagged a whole lot...and then I hit a bad spike and this pops up: http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4846/wtfhack.png I was D/C'd. I tried to log back in, and I can. But I'm still lagging bad, and I'm wondering what on Earth happened. (I don't appear to be banned. I can still play.)

Happens pretty often lately. Especially when people are lagging so it's probally not a big deal. You sure you have no software running that could be suspicious, cause it happens often that hackshield for instance recognizes a certain piece of software that's legit.

Happened to me too :o Was at teh Dojo talkin' to a friend then lagged and got this message @_@ Dc'd and I could log back on normally :o The friend I was talkin to said it happened to him liek 12 times o.o Didn't have any weird programs on F3

Maybe were you using any other program, such as Steam? I got kicked when I started Maple using Steam, but not banned o_O

When lagging the server thinks you're hitting a monster on the other side of the map. Example; You hit a monster while lagging (doesn't die yet), move to the other side of the map and the monster dies. The server thinks you hit the monster out of range meaning it could be a hack. Solution; get a better connection.

Thanks guys for the input. I wasn't running any programs other than normal processes for Windows 7 and things like iTunesHelper, and Google Chrome and McAfee Anti-Virus. @TheFurySin What you say makes the most sense to me.
