Introduction: Dual Blades are a new branch of the Thief class; they use a Dagger and a new type of weapon called a Blade at the same time, and each of their attacks uses both of these weapons in a single strike. Due to their nature, Dual Blades are very strong and very fast, which means they are generally looked upon as an uber class. They do have some downsides though, for example they have no defensive skills and there is a very high chance of death when using certain 4th job skills. Contrary to popular belief their HP isn't too low, but since they have no defense skills it can pose a threat when training at high level areas/bosses. AP Builds and how to calculate stats: The most common AP build for Thieves in MapleStory now is a Low DEX build. This build utilises AP points and therefore is the overall strongest and best (subjective) way to go. Low DEX builds are quite expensive however, especially if you really want to be the best. The first section will be Low DEX because I recommend it over the others. For a DEXless and Regular DEX build, see below. Low DEX: Before you set about having a DEX cap, youll want to know what equips youll be using beforehand. In order to get the best AP build, youll have to work it around your DEX total, for example my list of equips are: 38 DEX Scarlion helm 22 DEX Horntail Pendant 1 DEX Dark Pirate Top 23 DEX Dark Pirate Pants 12 DEX Earrings 2 DEX Spectrum Goggles 6 DEX Branch Nose 2 DEX Circle of Ancient STR 2 DEX Circle of Ancient STR 2 DEX Circle of Ancient STR 2 DEX Master Adventurer Medal This totals to 112 DEX. If I want to use a Reverse Killic/Blade, then Ill need a base DEX of 48. (Total of 160). You can work your own base DEX out like this. Remember, you only want just enough DEX to be able to equip your weapon. You can add more points to your DEX if you get to a higher level as you progress. DEXless: A DEXless build is pretty much equivalent to using nothing but LUK equips and using 0 required stat items to train with. For example, having all +LUK equips and only the 25 DEX base required to advance with would mean you'd be stuck with Maple Weapons forever. The problem with this is, since the Maple Anniversary is already over, there won't be any Maple Blades released until next year at the earliest. It is true that there are some Cash Shop DEXless Blades but they're quite weak, so I do not recommend a DEXless build for a Dual Blade. Calculating DEXless AP stats is easy, all you do is buy +LUK equips instead of +DEX ones. Regular DEX: A Regular DEX build is probably the oldest, regular DEX builds are chosen because with a regular DEX build you can equip all the Thief classes items, but at the loss of a lot of damage. You'd have your base DEX stat at the same level as the equivalent equipment. For example, the level 100 Katina(s) set requires 140 DEX to equip. If you were DEXless you'd probably be wearing a Sauna or Bathrobe, if you were Low DEX you'd have (x base DEX + 140-x) in order to equip that

Headings are probably needed. Separate the jobs into their specific jobs(1st job, 2nd job, etc.)

Personally I play kms and I have a lv127 db. One thing meson messed up is that db has WAY more damage! Due to that other classes don't like u much.... Especially if u go dexless. Also db has low hp which can make u die very occassionally but I think u can sacrific that for high damage and thus good training XDDD I recommend this char to ppl who like good dmg
OmgItsMazz : If it was a glitch it hasn't been fixed yet and presumably won't be fixed.
i'm pretty sure it already was fixed. You can only save SP for 2nd job + (level 30) and 3rd job + (level 70). EDIT: And personally, i'm against maxing Triple Stab. It gets completely replaced in 3rd job extension, and actually isn't used too much in 2nd job extension. Maxing it helps a bit in 2nd job extension, because it's the best on mobs of 2-3 monsters, but later there just isn't much point. At level 55 you get an insanely long-ranged Rushing skill AND flash jump, both of which will get you into larger crowds of monsters, thus removing the need for triple stab unless you're on the edge of a platform (in which case you'll have to wait till level 70, the level where you can jump off the platform, turn around, and Rush them back with Flying Assaulter). Also, in 3rd job (level 55), I think that you should max tSpin rather than FJ, and keep FJ at level 1 or so. Rushing is always helpful, especially at circulation maps like mp3 (which you will almost certainly be training at). And with a rushing ability, it's always best to do the highest damage possible while rushing, so all the more reason to max tSpin.
