Zakum D/C Glitch?

So today....after numerous failed Zakum Runs, I finally organized a badass run before tonight's server check. Everything was going well, I wasn't lagging, and we're midway through the third body of Zakum when the MS gods smited me. My screen flashed, the middle half of my screen became black, and Maple just closed out. No error message or anything. It just straight up closed. Is this a common glitch? Cuz it made me maddddd. I'm running Windows 7 64 Bit. I don't know if that makes a difference

There are 3 things that run into my mind that can cause constand DCing at Zakum. 1. Nexon servers are way beyond overdue for an overhaul, I was amazed when saw them actually working on the server for the games itself. 2. Hackers, they target the healers of the party and no one else (one of my friends is a Bishop and she got DCed constantly on runs by bored hackers). 3. When you install MS go to properties, click compatiblity, click on the box that says 'Compatability Mode', scroll down til you see XP and click apply, I had that issue with MS on my laptop that runs Windows Vista Home Edition. Those are the main issues that can cause DCing at Zakum or any major boss. If you have any questions about how to work on the compatability just PM me and I'll gladly assist you. :D

^ isn't the 3 reasons necessarily; there seems to be an issue with the program itself and Vista/7 OS'es. However my method to avoid the D/Cs is to just do the whole run in windowed mode, and at each body hit Escape -> Down -> Down -> Left -> Enter. That reduces the graphics quality by one level at each body, so you'll be at lowest quality by 3rd body. This should prevent you from D/C'ing.

wow i thought maybe my comp had a problem. But yes i also have Windows 7 and i have that same black screen maple crash at bosses even on low res. there is no lagg, just a sudden crash out of nowhere. happens at zakum and HT

I have Windows 7 x64 both on my laptop and PC, I did a single run on both computers at the same time and about in the middle of 3rd body my laptop dc'd, while PC stood up till the end. Can't really say if it's because my PC is way more powerful than laptop or something else, but I guess it just affects random computers. Must be some kind of compatibility issue between maple and windows with specific hardware.

happens to me to, 0 lag, just maple becomes a ghost and vanishes. zak and cwkpq(one time)

It seems to me the strategy of reducing the graphics quality SLOWLY (by increments) is working for some people. I want to try this out! So pressing: ESC, Down, Down, Left, ENTER is the combination for reducing graphics quality increments by 1? The trick now is to stay alive while Zakum is casting 1/1 and throwing monsters at you while having to change the Graphics Quality. Its a shame we even have to do this. SHAME ON YOU WIZET PROGRAMMERS!

I have Vista 64 bit and if I change the graphics settings after the arms are gone, I'm fine for the rest of the run. It seems to be different for most people who DC during the boss runs. Here are the things that I've heard of that helped them: *Alt-tab out and back in (I've been told that this helps refresh the screen and "clean" up the graphics that have been going on during the run). *Change graphics settings after each body. (I have to change the graphics settings during CWPQ at the bosses, otherwise parts of the screen start going blank). *Swtich from Full screen to Window-mode. Not sure why some people have problems and others don't. But what people have said about XP not having this problem is correct. Vista and 7 seem to be the OS's that have this problem. Nexon is long overdue on fixing these problems and updating the game accordingly.
