Man charged with first degree murder, for stealing.

Source This happened a few days ago in Detroit. A 91 year old man had just won a small amount of money (around $240) at one of the Detroit Casinos. While walking to get his ticket exchanged for money, a 55 year old man stole the ticket and ran away. He didn't make contact with the 91 year old man. As he ran away, the 91 year old man ran after him. After notifying police while on pursuit the 91 year old man collapsed. He died of a heart attack. Now the man who stole the ticket is being charged with first degree murder. By Michigan law, first degree murder is willful, deliberate and premeditated. Obviously the man who stole the ticket wasn't planning on killing the 91 year old. This is going to be on National News if he's found guilty *rolls eyes at the court system*

Maybe the robber put stress upon the poor 91 year old, leading to the heart attack.

The police always overcharge when they make an arrest. It's up to the prosecutor to decide which charges he should follow through with. But yeah still, I see your point. Manslaughter seems more suitable.
