There is a keylogger on my computer?

How do I tell if there is a keylogger on my computer? I tired a virus scan and it said there was nothing but I want to make sure. About 2 years ago I was hacked, and I still have no idea how it happened! I came back from maple one day and all of my stuff was gone. I want to make sure it wont happen again. Thanks

try a thorough scan (usually can take anywhere form an hour to 2 hours). thats all i got = im sorry.

reformat your computer, save everything important on an external or flashdrive (if you don't have anything important)

google "keyscrambler" and install. best way to protec against keyloggers.

Many of these are keyloggers themselves EDIT: at brawlrulez... you have no idea what your talking about. Music aint gonna get you a keylogger... There files are so small too. The things that do are rouge antiviruses and other things.

AVG=free virus scanner so its bound to have problems but its still one of the better free systems. i believe you can Google stuff to get further information but if you had a good virus scanner from the major producers and it has Internet security/information security for keylogger and you did a full system scan chances are your clean as a whistle but you can always try online scanners to make sure. Malwarebytes Malware scanner is apparently a good scanner dunno if you can find it online but thats the virus/keylogger scanner my computer service place uses to fix computers.

I'm paranoid over the internet so I don't download a lot of stuff. Same thing happened to me. I quit in 2007 and came back this year and everything was gone. Logging on with the onscreen keyboard should help if you're afraid of keyloggers.
