They are very slow to level at the lower levels. Most people don't have the will to get to 120.

2nd job is boring as i'm told. Basically they have weak damage 2nd job. Not so sure about 3rd

Lets sum it up simply. Gunslingers are weak, which turns off like half of the mapling population. Then to top it off, during the outlaw stage, grinding at newties from 80-120 is hell, since its soo repetitive.

I am actually waiting till the balance patch comes out to finish up my gunslinger, the 80% damage is really reaaaally bad.

Because the hell levels. I'd say 1-127 are hell levels all together. I'm lucky I made it to 95. Too bad I quit for a while over girlfriend things. EDIT: And for the balancing patch corsairs that are gonna come in. Even with extra dmg and freeze time. Have fun with newties 80-120+

They're like Tyranitars, You gotta train your Larvitar for a very looooong time just to get it to Pupitar and then to Tyranitar which is like Lv 1-55 lol.

Levels 30-70 you have tremendously low damage. from 80-120 you have tremendously boring training.

[/quote] nah its more like a magikarp doing nothing but splash for 20 lvls then big bad gyrados ;] cuz trainin for 2nd is a pain, super weak, 3rd job we lack training options, its basically standing in one spot snipin newts for 40 lvls, then once u hit sair the nightmare isnt over yet, ur ships hp is total crap, so ur basically trainin the same way as a outlaw almost

It is extremely easy to lose motivation. 2nd job is only really bad if you are obsessed with seeing large numbers. Most people quit 3rd job, because of the lack of "amazing" skills. Most jobs get flashy, amazing skills from 70-100. Outlaws start out with burst fire, which put them ahead of most classes damage wise, but slowly lose that advantage again as the job progresses. By your 90s, you are only "on par" with other classes, and by the early 100s, you are starting to become "weaker" per say. Yes, they can freeze, but lets face it. Outlaws' other skills are nothing to gawk at. Two summons, one utterly useless, and the other becomes useless not too long after you max it. Flame isn't really that great (sure, with ice its more useful, but in comparison to other classes' mob skills, laughable). And homing is basically useless till you start bossing in 4th job. If you take the flashy/useful skill problem, the mediocre damage in the 100s, and the fact that over 50% of corsair hopefuls are people that quit more conventional classes for the so-called "strongest adventurer class", its easy to see why so many never make it.
