MW2: Should I prestige?

I'm level 70 and I'm wondering if I should go to first prestige. I hear you get another class, a cool emblem, and such as that. Some people told me it's my call, but I want to know what you guys think about prestiging. I don't want to lose my guns and all of the stuff I worked for it though, I have nearly 1K kills on my Barett D:

Well, once you prestige, you can get kills with the barrett and the kills will stay with you through the next prestiges. going prestige at least once is probably the best thing to do, as it unlocks so much challenges.

It's only for looks. It's not that hard to get your guns back, but your challenges... I got a legit care package kill before I prestiged and I lost it

WHOA dont prestige yet. If your still a low rank stay like it. You will play with the people around ur own rank and the game wond be too bad because when you prestige the game gets harder, more frustrating, and it all ends to a rage quit.

If it took you 2 months to get from 1-70, do NOT prestige.
