What phone should I get when i move to the USA?

I'm moving to the USA in less than a month but I can't use my current Sony Ericsson Aino there because it doesn't have international support. I also don't know what operator to choose from. I am currently deciding between T-mobile's HTC HD2 and AT&T's iPhone 3GS. I am looking to buy a touch screen phone which supports multi-touch. I will not purchase the HTC EVO under any circumstances. I am moving to San Jose, California. I think the place I am moving to is named Cupertino, or something like that. Please vote on which operator I should get, and which phone I should get by that operator.

Still though... he's moving to the US before it's gonna happen, so unless he wants to wait three months until whenever it comes out, he shouldn't get it. @above That's not proof. It doesn't say anywhere of a definite date. The new iphone isn't out yet. June 7 is when it will (probably) be officially announced.

The iPhone 4G is being released at the end of June when the 2010 Apple Conference is. However I just read this article? http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/05/11/att-iphone-4g-exclusive-no-verizon-iphone-release-until-2012/ Verizon might not get it until 2012. However, it doesn't matter. I'll just get the iPhone 4G and unlock it for tmobile, or buy a 3GS because it'll be dirt cheap. I have a 3G right now. The only problem is the lag and glitches on my 3G. It's not terrible. It's just the hardware is lacking for what is available. However it is holding up great for a 2 year old phone. OT: I've heard some very very great reviews of the HD2. Everybody I know that has it, were previous iPhone users, and they all say it blows the iPhone out of the water. I just don't know if I'm willing to switch? I love my iphone, for the soul purpose it can sync with iTunes flawlessly without any extra programs that other phones need.

Verizon has the best service and call quality. I've been with them for over 7 years. AT&T is overpriced, and the iPhone is very expensive (A 1000 minute, unlimited text and data plan will cost you over $200 USD a month for a single line) T-Mobile is good, I think the HD2 is cool phone. Sprint is also good, because they have a cheap unlimited plan. So whichever you like, just I dont suggest getting the iPhone

I have t-mobile, although the HD2 is an awesome phone it's OS (Windows Mobile 6.5) is soon to be outdated and no way to fully upgrade it to Windows Mobile 7 due to hardware issues. I woudn't get the iPhone 3Gs because the iPhone 4G is dude out very soon, but if you want that then I'd go with that. Probably going to be the best phone out this summer (or second best because of the EVO). The best phone out as of right now is the Droid Incredible on Verizon with runs on Android. It all depends on if you like the Apple OS or Andriod OS (Froyo is coming out soon). And for all those who unlock their iPhones and use it on t-mobile, just know that you aren't running on 3G speeds and are actually running on Edge which is super slow. T-mobile is probably going to be the fastest 3G provider by the end of the year (then again 4G is already out) so why not just get a a phone compatible with T-mobile's 3G? Get the most out of what you're paying for. IMO iPhone isn't worth it on t-mobile.
