Evans: NOT worth it?

hey guys, i was looking up the gacha tix on the CS.. and found skill books for EVAN, like 2~3k each... is there a point to playing evan now? i mean, most of the good required skills cost money. so...

I thought it was a glitch, and that monsters were supposed to drop them. But seeing as you still have to spend real cash on skills for a character. I say it's not worth it. BS really, if you leveled up and did the quests, then your character deserves to progress.

It's not hard to MTS up the 6k NX or so required for all 3 of the books. It's 'worth it' if you enjoy the class and actually plan on getting it far.

The point is to have fun. If you can't fork out $6, MTS some stuff, or do a survey or two, then Evan's aren't the class for you, neither are the up and coming DB's, btw.

I DO NOT understand why people keep b**tching about the evan skill books. Even if you can't purchase NX, there are two things called "Surveys" and "MTS".. ever heard of those?

*head-desk* I really am sick of people asking if a class is "worth it"... as if any class is "worth" anything. You pick a class and play it because you enjoy it. That's the point - there's the worth. Anything else is arbitrary and asking of a class is "worth" playing is quite frankly moronic ! It even goes into the whole issue of "is this class better than XXXX", because (once again) it ends up being more about personal preferences and biases than anything else! Much like the "which class should I choose" threads, I highly reccomend that the mods lock threads like these. They are just as worthless.

I love my Evan, I had $10 to spare, I went out and bought some NX. Got my books. If you don't have $10, you really should be working, not playing Maple. Unless you're like 12-.

[/quote] MTS, fair enough. Surveys for certain places (like Australia, for example), are limited and half the time dont work.

They're fun, have great damage, and are super easy to level. It's worth it. And it's so easy to mts the nx or do a few surveys. Seriously. Nub question

It's not about 'worth it' or not when it comes to Evans. Anybody read the ToS? Anybody notice how they said they would never make you pay to enjoy the free game that is considered MapleStory? Free. Yeah. Good one.
