I own a Wii, and use it for around half an hour at parties, then people get bored and start playing the PS3.

I prefer Xbox 360 (imo the games are better than PS3) but you probably shouldnt listen to anyone because theyre all biased make your own decision and if u have more friends on ps3 than go for it

would love a ps3 just for two games that i'll probably only buy in my whole life for that system. otherwise PSP all the way~ its portable as its name states, cheaper than a DSI WIDESCREEN, the games are on-the-go anytime and i can use it as an mp3 player when my ipod is charing :D

PS3. I wouldn't get an Xbox since you have to pay every month just to play online and not to mention there's no wireless. A PSP Go is also nice since you can download all your games you want and there's no need for UMDs.

Get a PS3. If you asked me this same question a few years ago I would have said 360 but the PS3 has loads of new games, a good price drop and is coming out with even more. :P

heres the truth PS3 has a decent amount of real exclusives, has Blu-ray (beats DVD in Storage and HDness), PSN is free (wont say anything else about it as if i do i will always be biased to somebody) , controllers never need any batteries (they charge off of the system), Hard Drive can be upgraded in a few minutes cheaply (takes a laptop hard drive), doesnt need a wireless adapter to play PSN without an ethernet cable 360, has few real exclusives (90% or so "Exclusives" are simple console exclusives that have a PC version, ), DVD is meh alright but nothing special and looks good cuz of the GPU and extra pipelines (take statues and make em look real), XBL has cross part chat, bigger community, and you get expansions (like extra maps) for games earlier than you would for PS3, wireless controllers need batteries or a battery pack, needs a wireless adapter if you want to play XBL without an ethernet cable, costly to get a hard drive with more storage. there not being many true 360 exclusives if you had the money i would recommend getting a PS3 and a decent computer (if you build it yourself you probably dont need to spend more than $700-$800 and it will be much better than a 360 is). and nobody say "the 360 is cheaper" it isnt after a few upgrades and you get less, also nobody say "but PS3 has no games" (its all preference if you cant find a game on PS3 that you enjoy than you are pathetic, it has a lot more exclusives than the 360 as i stated above, and also shares a decent of games with the 360 (like CoD games, and Battlefield,)) the few games that are real exclusives for the 360 IMO arent worth getting a 360 and missing out on a PS3 and its capabilities, and i have yet to play a multiplat game that was horrible on the PS3 (not saying it couldnt have been better on the 360 just that theres nothing to complain about the PS3 versions)

Regarding exclusives, both systems have great console exclusives, at times it can go either way on whose is better. But his "true exclusives" ---- only matters if you are a PC gamer. If you're not, it being available on the PC means absolutely nothing to do. The PC market is sadly diminishing, only some of the greatest developers like Blizzard, Valve, etc. stay strong on it. Internet- Xbox LIVE can easily be found for $40/year + 1 month. In other words under $3.33 a month, which really is nothing much to complain about for what you're. In honest opinion, XBL is superior to the free PSN. It has more features, a larger more social community, more intergrated software, and a larger library of downloadable game content. Also what I find on XBL is the use of mics. Almost everyone at least has a mic to use, since Microsoft gives a standard mic w/ every console. On the PSN, only people who went out and bought a mic or has a Blu tooth headset has one, so there's a considerable difference. I like socializing when I'm playing, so the PSN turns me off a bit. I
