Why do some people think being afk = ownership

So while searching through mp3, there were no empty channels except for som1 afk at the portal. I decided to train there. After like 45 minutes, the lvl 45 cleric goes cc or i ks yoo -.- Seriously, does she think she owns the map? And how woudl a lvl 45 ks me anyways -.-

Yeah, those people are seriously annoying. Especially at Galloperas. They expect to keep a channel when they were AFK for 10 minutes at such a popular training spot. Then they get their guildmates to KS you.

if the afker afked for less than 11 minutes, i just "claim" the channel as my own, because the other char might have to go to the bathroom bad, or the char might have to pick up the phone.
