I think it's pretty dumb. You would see one of them going "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH SHE DUMPED ME WAAAAAH IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE FOR ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" while they still have a long path to go...I don't even have a boyfriend and I'm 17. I still believe that I have a long way to go. :/

its a learning experience. it may be dumb, and not for everyone. But it isn't bad. how can you learn if not by experience?

What age range is middle school? Sounds young, too young to have a real grasp of the emotions involved. ^they won't learn if they can't understand what's actually going on.

Well... I think it is stupid when middle schoolers flip out when their gf/bf dumps then and go "suicidal" for like a week. But i mean, its kinda nice having like 1 during middle school to know what to do if you get into a semi-serious relationship during high school :P

Depends on how the people in them act, the maturity levels can vary vastly. If they can act well then it could be ok, they just shouldn't be the dramatic type.

During middle school most kids are just hitting puberty and their hormones are raging (though, I don't like that term). The complexities of relationships and emotions aren't really that big for people who are just now having to use deodorant. Love is a very complex emotion and a lot of things can affect it. Most middle schoolers take lust for love and abuse the phase, "I love you". Plus, there is really just too much drama in Middle school. I wouldn't say High school isn't bad either but at least some people mature enough not to make a big deal out of little things. Personally, dating in Middle school is like saying you're the best at watching grass grow.

I think its stupid getting over upset over the little breakups. It is good practise "dating" though. Just my opinion.
