Time Travel! Fiction or Not

So, I felt like starting a discussion about if time travel will EVER be possible in the future. I for one think its impossible. I mean it makes not sense to go back in time. What happened happened and can never be changed. And just the whole idea is crazy.

Logically speaking, time travel is insane to even think about. The amount of sheer physics and duality involved would be beyond this universe. But it is possible, just not probable anytime within our lives. Quantum transportation, however, is another thing. Time travelling to the future is possible, but not to the past. You can't rewrite anything that's been written, that ain't how the rules of this game works.

you can travel into the future. astronauts came back 11 seconds in the future from space so its not impossible to travel into the future, there may not ever be a very efficient way to travel further into time. I do not believe you would be able to ever travel back though, but then again, people thought it would be impossible to ever fly but look at all the airplanes we have now.

We can do something like it, but it involves Force Fields, an age-changing gun, and some lighting or something. Trust me. Some aliens and a Japanese boy did it already. They where trying to de-age some beetles. It makes sense in context.

[/quote] No, it would have to mean that you go backwards in time. It's too hard to prove, but if you could travel faster than light, you would HAVE to go back in time.

[/quote] Well, presently we don't know what traveling back in time would actually be like. Maybe you travel into another dimension, maybe you can't be seen for some other reason.

Yes it's possible. Some cosmonaur traveled something like 0.2 seconds into the future, it may not seem like alot but thats more than most of us have traveled. Also I keep hearing rumors that scientists have discovered a way to make something go faster than the speed of light which like some guy before said, means that you can go 100 years into the future.
