Even if it is a glitch (part of the game that was never meant to be), they wont always ban you for it. In fact many glitches like HP Washing have become accepted parts of the game.

[/quote] While you are correct, assuming the programmers consider CS Jumping a glitch, the 400% Damage glitch was a clear and obvious glitch and could do serious damage to the game. @above: thats one reason, but for most glitches it's because it is not a serious glitch being abused.
