last week-end I went out with my friends (2 o' them), after watching a movie and eating dinner we went to meet one of my friend's friends. One of his friends played a song on her cell when an undercover cop came and it ended up with her getting a ticket worth around 85$. Her friends (3 of them) and my friend who knew her agreed to help her pay the ticket but me and my other friend just silenced when they did so. I was hanging out with them for about 20 before this happened, do you think I should have joined helping her pay the ticket? Actually it's not too late and I could give my friend to give her some money. It's not about the money, I saved up some money over the years the thing is I'm not sure that I should help a person I was hanging out with for less than half an hour pay her ticket.

You could say it was public disturbance although it was over 300 feet from any house in any direction (occurred at 4am). To tell you the truth that "undercover" cop just picked on us for nothing, she doesn't even have that much of loud speakers on her cell anyway.

This is why people don't like cops i especially don't like cops always giving me tickets and arresting me and chasing me (skater) haven't been caught yet but the point is they suck -_-

Played only 1 song than stopped -.-; I always hear people saying that about cops "Don't they have anything better to do" after they get a ticket for speeding or something else but this is seriously BS a person listening to music in a park 300 feet from any resident getting a ticket...

Yeah, you don't need to offer anything as you don't know the chick. That goes for your other friend that is not friends with her as well. It was a nice gesture that her 3 friends and your friend are willing to split it, but it's not really a concern of yours. Especially since she was the one who thought it was a good idea to whip out her phone :X It's only like $17 for the 5 of them, so it's not terribly expensive. You don't have to feel bad. Just move on

Just move on [/quote] I know but if me and my friend would've joined it would've been even lower... anyway, my friend was actually the one saying "let's listen to some X(Certain middle eastern music genre that if I'd name you'd puke trying to pronounce it)" (the friend who paid) but the thing is she wasn't anywhere in the wrong to play music on her cell the undercover cop was just a plain douch'e who was bored to tears so he decided to harass us. [/quote] It was a he and no I didn't even bother with this whole thing, if I was gonna get involved I'd just pay up and that's it not go that deep. P.S. it's kinda funny but after the undercover cop took her to his car a real police cruise came and they are the ones who wrote her ticket. That whole night was messed up

The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled. Officer 2: Thank you ma�am, one of my officers told me you didn�t have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner. Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too Now if only we could change this situation into from speeding -> public "disturbance"
