So I'm getting braces

I went to the ortho yesterday to get my teeth examined. and im getting my braces on the 28th... and they said that ~ I MIGHT need 2 teeth extractions, since my teeth overcrowd ~ it'll take about 27 months to get my teeth straightened (just in time before senior year) ~ my braces will cost about $3k~ $5k :O Right now I have 7 spacers on and they are making my gums sore! Idk what to eat. ~ What kind of stuff do I eat thats soft and chewy ~ how long will the spacers hurt? EDIT: how long does it take when they're putting the braces on? I don't wanna go back to school lol EDIT: im getting braces on top & bottom. so how long does THAT take?(: EDIT: how many hours pass before the pain kicks in?

the spacers should only hurt for a day or two. Maybe a little more. and soft and chewy.... Bananas? ice cream?

After you get braces your teeth get numb. Don't eat chips. You're brace parts can break if you eat too much crunchy stuff.

Take painkillers for the first week, eat a lot of soup, don't eat anything hard, tough, chewy, or crunchy. If anything happens to them, call your orthodontist immediately or your teeth could get really messed up.

[/quote] lol I only have them for 1 week, then braces but yeah, i ate soup for breakfast... lunch maybe pho aha.. but yeah.. > sucks.. my school doesnt have any soft foods
