What's Thorns? Unless you're talking about the Level 55 Staff..

Sharp Eyes is better. Thorns's effect dwindles with more members in the party. SE doesn't.
LEGENDairy : What's Thorns? Unless you're talking about the Level 55 Staff..
LOL..anyways, SE is better for like evry class BUT mages and normal warriors (except aran), thorns may b better

Nvm, i thought thorns +35% critical LOL... in that case, critical>damage for classes that rely on critical a lot.

SE = 15% chance of hitting 200% damage AND damdge +40% Thorns = 35% chance of hitting 200% damdge (does not work for classes that alredy have criticals eg. NL) i believe that SE is better

Thorns gives better effects, but only works on classes that don't already have a passive critical chance. I'd say about equal, but I chose Thorns just because DBs own everybody

It depends. SE is better for crit classes, Thorns is better for non-crit classes. There is no comparison between them as no class will use both that can benefit from them. I think in terms of usefulness, Thorns may be better than SE, simply because on boss runs, there are a LOT of non-critical classes attacking. Mages, Warriors (Except Aran), Corsairs, Shadowers, Buccaneers (correct me if I'm wrong), who will ALL greatly benefit from a damage boost because of Thorns. SE is already pretty standard on boss runs, so I think the addition of thorns is going to see boss kill speeds drop significantly.

calculations (without passive crit) SE: .15 x 2 + .85 x .4 = .64 Thorns= .35 x 2 = .7 thorns barely wins out w/o crit but with passive crit, SE all the way
