I only hate them because they take up 80% of the gallos map. Otherwise, they're alright.

In the end all you really want to do is have a one or two button attack When bossing 30min+ a tedious rotation is probably one of the last things you'd want to do Those of you people saying one button smashers, skill spammer, etc; i think it's time to get past 140+ and try bossing first

Also, Evans excel in mobbing(not as much as mages, but using Flame wheel/Earthquake at Zak arms can result in higher damage output then Battle ship cannon) Oh, Also, on Fire Weak, Evans are on par with many attackers. 2, 3 and 4 are subjective. I agree with 5.

I hate that Ice Breath has a max skill level of level 20 and outpowers Cold Beam. Cold beam is single-targetted for that matter. Then again, I'd say that Ice Strike > Ice Breath. But then at 100 their Earthquake skill sort of thrashes ice strike, without the freeze. So my answer - I hate them because they can beat my I/L at it's own special areas, but I love them because their style is unique.

ok, ive played all the types of mages, i even have a 184 bishop. but evans are probably the best and most entertaining mage class there is. only because they give you some awesome skills, not like the normal leveling set where is 30, then 70, then 120 for the rest of the character. but it gives you a reason to level. it keeps you training, where as other classes makes it look so hard to level up to the next advance. that and ive seen evans at road of regrets 5 hitting 60ks with earthquake, i dun think an aran can beat that at lvl 119 like the evan i saw do it did. and the story line, if you actually read it, is actually pretty good, true not as good at arans but its still pretty good. and yes it is true i dont agree with having to pay real money for skill books but its nothing that a couple of god scrolls you can get from quests and sell them in trade can do. thats what i did.

I find that Aran starts fun, but after Criitical is maxed, they get boring when they spam just one attack. 3) Not all classes bossing ability is based on DPM. Evans provide several defensive buffs to increase survivability. Its the same reason DrKs are picked over Heroes. 4) Evans are still pretty fast. They may not excell at training on 15 monsters at once, but they blow the standard mage out of the water on 6-8 targets. 5) Big deal. Who doesnt rip off other people these days? You cant find a game these days that hasnt "borrowed" ideas and names. 6) Thats sucks,, but it isnt Evan's fault. It's nexon America's fault for nerfing the event (it was 100% for all in korea) 7) Once again opinion, and there are worse wastes of time... far worse (Neo S----y and Kerning Square)

I agree with Androx and MjR. Personally, I like my evan cause I hated how clerics/priests/i-l/f-p could only train at certain maps. With the evan I have an unlimited amount of maps to train on if I so choose. I love recovery aura cause it means I can more or less use just hp pots, which tend to be cheaper than mp pots. I also like doing earthquake. I don't care about dpm, that's for the damage queens who that is all they think about. I have fun on my evan, and can't wait to get the next set of skills!

[/quote] To be honest, it seems like this thread was only created that so people can whine and complain. If it makes them feel better, more power to them. The fact of the matter is, Evans are far stronger than Arans. I hate to break it to you, but I saw a 171 Evan spamming Blaze and annihilating everything. I mean...130k+ crits. It's just as fast as Chain Lightning if not a bit faster. So combine that with Magic Booster, and you have ridiculous DPMs. NX for books are lame, but I've done surveys and gotten 51k NX so far.
