When I see some guy selling an item I might be interested in buying, so I trade him. Once we are in the trade, he then tells me to offer and a lot of the time I don't know the price since I just came back from a break from maple. Anyways, even if I offer a reasonable amount according to my guild and bl, half the time the seller will just say lol and leave. And that makes me angry. Very, very angry. Ladies and gentlemen, my rant for the evening.

Well, many people in the FM are merchants and want to sell their item for the maximum possible amount. Sadly, most I meet have no real manners. @above: either you got those from a very nice friend, a complete absolute moron (the scarlion should at least sell for 30mill to make up for the SoK tax) or you are lying.

If they knew how much it was worth, they would have no problem giving you an offer, it's just that it would be significantly higher than the actual value. The problem is that there are a lot of noob merchants nowadays that don't know how much things are worth, so they say S>____, and they use the prices people give them as a way for them to p/c the item. When I come across someone like this and I want to buy something this is what I do. Merch: S>_____ Me: I'll buy Merch: Offer plis Me: Can you give me an offer? Merch: Offer OR NO Me: 1 meso is my offer Merch: Offer plzzzzz F4 Me: I told you, 1 meso is my offer. I am willing to go higher if you tell me what price you're looking for. Merch: Fine... *convo continues I suppose the idea is that, if you say something ridiculous, they're more likely to become interested.
