How do you become a basil mod.

Whats the qualifications? Do you have to have a 0% trolling record?

Active and helpful. Submitting lots of helpful reports is a must as well. Trolling is definitely bad to do if you want to be a mod. But you can't ask to be one either; the mods talk with each other and select one or a few at a time, on pretty rare occassions.

Mods look for candidates when it's necessary. Be a good citizen, send lots of reports, improve Basil, etc. and you might be looked at.

This is my personal list, the things I look at when I think I've got someone to suggest. 1) First and foremost, to even be recognized as a candidate you must be a frequent accurate reporter. If your posts show that you care about the website in all its glory (and all the flaws too) then you've got higher chances. Do you care about Basilers, or are you just in it for the possible chance of being a mod and the E-Fame (or infamy) that comes with it? We can tell when the user's in it for themselves, we don't want brown nosers around here. 4) Finally, I gotta look at your posting history. By no means will suspensions totally eliminate your chances, depending on the situation they might not hurt you too bad, but they are a factor. One or two, here or there, no worries. 5 in a row on the same week for blatant offenses? I don't care if you singlehandedly report every single troll in existence, I don't want a hypocrite as a moderator.
