Why is my atk so low?

Well i'm level 60 bandit, 26str, 98dex and 180lukish I was wondering if my atk range (450-780) is low because of my high dex? my equips are:- 14luk YAC 13luk 1str Nimble 75atk 6luk shinkita 9atk 1 luk lunar glove 6dex snowshoes just some red chinas, nothing special about them so yeah, if you could help me solve this mystery, and any advice on switching equips with something new would be greatly appreciated! Bandits are not affected by attk/luk as much as assassins do. If your dex is 98 base, it's okay, since you have some luk scrolled equips to help even it out. If it's total, even better for your sake of attack range.

im pretty sure your damage is just about average... maybe... (don't know) i HAD a dexless bandit level 68 and his range goes to 12xx, but im not sure if that's much stronger than you cus i haven't played him for like 2 years plus i lost the account due to the mass deactivation

it seems you are str dit, so you should be prepared for a little lower dmg than other dits this early in the game

You're weapon is kinda weak imo, but your range is low because STR bandits(you noted 26 STR, so I'm assuming you raised your base) are weaker than LUK 'dits until 80+, your high base DEX could also contribute to your low range. s: I'd suggest capping it as soon as possible if you're worried about damage now.

the kind of atk you can get on shield for the same amount you wud spend on a luk robe will grant more to your dmg range than the luk robe, at least it would in eMS xD the prices might be different in GMS -.-

Dont worry too much about your damage for now. Bandits are all about consistancy in 2nd job. Just carry around some Warrior Elixers, and train on the monster that gives the most exp that you consistantly ohko. Then at 70, start Meso Bombing Elders for a while. After you have BoT maxed and are training on typhons is when you should probably focus on damage. And yes, Watt shields are expensive. Start with getting a decent WG (edit: forget that, you have one), Weapon, and BoF (most people get this easily and passively) before other Watt Equips. Then try to get a Zhelm. Its a significant bonus to every class. After that, you could try getting a Luk Shield for now. Also, if you dont carry Warrior Elixers. They help a lot, especially when they are the difference between consistant ohko'a and not having them.

whats with the 26 str? going str but your not using a str weapon? hmm if i was you i would. try get a zhelm. then switch your weapon to a bushido (can be bought in showa (70atk clean , 30str req)) since that weapon doesnt req dex you can stop adding dex and sort of easy to make 8xatk+ which should suffice for a few levels . (maybe get a asura for later on) then id recommend either luk sauna (im not sure on prices for those) and possibly some shoes made from maker with luk. since you seem to be going str i wouldnt bother with atk shield either if your funds arent that high. Just get a khanjar at lv80.
